Christmas- No squares allowed.

Well it's time for the last challenge of 2014 over on the Kraftyhands Blog. This time we would like to see your Christmas makes but nothing square. Let's see some interesting shaped projects. By the way, the Blog has a new snazzy look and the challenge will be added to it starting in January instead of being separate. Just have a peep at the simple rules and then show us your creations.
Don't forget there is also 30% off everything on the Kraftyhands website until the 19th of December, just enter XMAS2014 at the checkout.
I have made a decoration for the tree using a topper from the Create-It Christmas Magazine. It is sandwiched between two of the Marianne hearts and has a greeting on the reverse. It was difficult to photograph and looks much better now it is on the tree which my grandchildren have decorated this weekend. Things are not too great for us at the moment but I hope they are better with you and I would like to thank you all for visiting my blog over the last year and wish you all a very
Happy Christmas and see you in 2015.

Christmas Cheer

Today sees the start of the November Challenge on the Kraftyhands Blog. The theme is Christmas Cheer and I am sure unlike me you have all made lots of cards ready for the festive season. So come on let us  enjoy your beautiful makes.
I have made my card from the S for Santa and the Verses for Christmas CD's available from the Kraftyhands website. The 6x6 card making set is printed from the cd, cut out and mounted onto a purple 7x7 card base. I have added purple glitter to some of the edges and crystal glitter to the top decoupaged layer of Santa. This looks much better in the flesh, glitter and shiny card is always hard to photograph.
Don't forget you can also see Kraftyhands on the British Craft Network. Mike and Ian will be on today at 4pm with their new CD, Emporium of Curiosities and of course you can see them in person by visiting stand G40, if you are going to the NEC today, Saturday or Sunday,

Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen and 21 Today

Today I have a card I made for my neighbour for her Granddaughter who is sixteen this week. It is made with sheets printed from the Cd included with the Create-It magazine from Kraftyhands, issue 2.
The Cd also includes video tutorials so that you can make the 10 cards along with Mike and Ian. You can of course make your own version of the cards as I did.
I used a Petra's corner die and added some card candy and flowers from my stash.
The photo is a bit dark but rainbow mirror card is difficult to photograph on a sunny day.

My second card was for another neighbour for her Grandson. The photo frame is a Spellbinders die and the key is a cake decoration. She was so pleased with it that she brought us a box full of freshly baked scones. Yummy!!!

Thank you for visiting today

Kraftyhands June Challenge

Wow June already. Time for another Challenge over on the Kraftyhands Blog. This month it is a floral theme Floral Fancy. We would love you to join in with us, you can use anything but if you have any Kraftyhands goodies to include on your creation that would be great.
Here is my make for this one. It is a cheap, sorry, inexpensive, photo frame and when I saw it I knew it would look fab with an image and flowers from the Femme Fatale cd to decorate it. When my hubby saw it he said, that's nice, are you selling it? Just shows home decor doesn't have to be expensive.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the May Challenge. Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to seeing all your entries again this month.
Have a great weekend.

Not done a blog post for a while so thought I would show you a painting. It is done with acrylic paints on watercolour card. The teddies are painted with a shaped brush which I think is called a deers foot using a stippling action. I then painted the flowers onto a bought mount before framing the teddies.

A Fan and an Easel

Here are a couple more of my cards made from the The Garden Floral Collection from Kraftyhands.
The first is a fan made with a Marianne die. I have joined the fan with a tassel and added a double bow of organza ribbon. I have the stand die to match this but can I find it........ I am sure it will turn up when I am not looking for it.
My second card was inspired by Kathy Mills after I saw a card she had made. Again the card is made with Marianne dies and forms an easel card. I love the gingham backing papers on the CD they look so fresh. The topper is cut with a Spellbinders die and matted onto pink card also cut with a Spellbinders die.The swirls are a Tonic die. I like to mix and match.

See you again soon.
