Lace and Pearls Challenge

Well it's a pretty challenge for you starting today on the Kraftyhands Blog. First of all congratulations to the winner and top 3 from the April Challenge and thank you to everyone who joined in just for the fun of it. May already, can you believe it?
The design team are doing some great projects for the blog with lots of lovely ideas and interesting tips and techniques so even if you don't want to join in with the challenge it is certainly worth a visit.

My card for Lace and Pearls is made using a Spellbinders die. This die makes a lovely frame which I think would be nice with photographs but here I have used a topper from the Kew Floral Postcard set available from the  Kraftyhands website. I have simply matted and layered this onto lilac and white card with a little lace added to the top layer and pearls added at the corners. A flower completes the card which is very effective and quite inexpensive to make.
I hope you will visit the Kraftyhands Blog and it would be nice to see your creations in the challenge.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Sunday 3 May 2015

For a friend.

Well how the time flies, but better than last time, it is only one month since I posted.
Thought I would show you the card I made yesterday. It is good to be getting back to my crafting. I have used a Spellbinders die which I treated myself to. I have matted and layered using white and pink card and also gold mirror card for the base mat to match the frame of the topper. The flowers are a mixture from my stash. The image is from Hunkydory. The card is 8x8.

April Challenge at Kraftyhands

Wow! it's been 3 months since I posted anything on my blog. I am not a big blogger by any means but that is ridiculous. The trouble is I haven't made any cards so I didn't have anything to blog. I will have to make a better effort from now on.
Anyway today sees the start of the April Challenge over at the Kraftyhands Blog. I hope you can pop over and have a look at the gorgeous cards made by the Design Team and maybe you will join in with the challenge which is just for fun.
The theme for April is Nature's Work, so anything floral, birds, animals etc. your interpretation. You don't have to use Kraftyhands goodies but if you have some it would be nice. We look forward to seeing what you make.
Here is my Design Team card.

I have used one of the card making sets from the Spring Time Garden CD. The dotty and gingham papers are also from the CD. The topper is decoupaged and mounted onto a paper doily and a few flowers added.
Thank you for visiting today.
